As part of the long term strategic regeneration, Wauchope Square masterplan is set to deliver over 400 homes. Since commencement of construction in 2007, a number of developments have already been completed including; private and affordable homes, 2 new primary schools, 266 new homes and new public realm.
A further development of 149 new houses by Cruden Homes will commence Spring / Summary 2017. This final phase will complete this award winning masterplan.
In addition CCG Homes have completed their Schoolhouse development of 66 homes retaining the facade of the former Niddrie Mills Primary School.

A deal has been agreed between The EDI Group Ltd and Scottish housebuilder Cruden Homes to build a further 148 new homes in Craigmillar, Edinburgh.
The vacant site on Niddrie Mains Road is the final phase in the Wauchope Square Masterplan area which is part of EDI’s wider regeneration of Craigmillar. The agreed sale will enable Edinburgh-based Cruden Homes to submit plans for a mixture of high quality private and affordable housing to meet the needs of the local area.
A variety of modern house types are being proposed for the site, adjacent to Richmond Church, and will include a balanced mix of one, two and three bedroom properties, subject to planning permission.29-02-2016
