The new Greendykes South masterplan will complement the existing and planned development at Greendykes North.

The 3.3 ha brownfield site for the proposed masterplan will deliver around 170 – 200 new homes with potential for some local retail / commercial spaces to meet the needs of existing and future community in the area.

The masterplan aims to create a pleasant, and high quality living environment with well-designed shared space streets that prioritise pedestrian and cycle movements. The residential plots are designed around designated open spaces and desired lines; creating an accessible neighbourhood; completing the vision and carrying through the aspirations for Greendykes as a whole.

A carefully designed range of houses, duplexes and apartments will support the creation of a lively and active setting for community life. A place where quality of life, health and wellbeing are at the forefront.

Proposals for up to 200 new homes to go on show in Craigmillar

Craigmillar residents are being invited to find out more about The EDI Group’s plans to build up to 200 new homes as part of its emerging masterplan for Greendykes South.

A blueprint for a mixed-residential development, alongside potential local retail and commercial spaces, as well as adjoining amenity open spaces, will go on show at a pre-application consultation event on Tuesday 26 April from 3pm to 7pm at The White House on Niddrie Mains Road.

The event will give residents the opportunity to meet the project team and share their views on the design proposals which are due to be submitted for planning in June.

EDI, through its subsidiary Parc Craigmillar Ltd, is responsible for the ongoing regeneration at Craigmillar which includes its current transformation of the town centre to deliver high quality retail and residential developments, alongside other amenities.

EDI Parc Craigmillar Submit Proposal of Application Notice for Greendykes South area of Craigmillar

The EDI Group Ltd has submitted a Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) for a residential-led development at Greendykes South.

In the next few months, EDI will develop its masterplan in consultation with the local community, stakeholder groups and the Council.
