Freedom of information

THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION (SCOTLAND) ACT 2002 (FOISA) INCREASES OPENNESS AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN GOVERNMENT AND ACROSS THE PUBLIC SECTOR BY GIVING PEOPLE THE RIGHT TO ACCESS INFORMATION HELD BY SCOTTISH PUBLIC AUTHORITIES. INFORMATION CAN ONLY BE WITHHELD WHERE FOISA EXPRESSLY PERMITS IT.

As a matter of course we publish a great deal of information and much of it is available on this website. Our publication scheme guides lists this information, so if you are looking for information, it is the best place to start.

If you cannot find what you are looking for there, you can request information from us through FOISA.

Publication Scheme Guides to information

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 requires Scottish public authorities to produce and maintain a publication scheme publishing the classes of information that they make routinely available and advising the public how to access the information and what it might cost.

EDI, Waterfront and our subsidiary companies have adopted the Model Publication Scheme 2017 produced by the Scottish Information Commissioner. Our Publication Scheme Guides can be found under downloads.

Being a property development and investment business, over the years we have created a number of subsidiary companies. Many are now dormant companies.
